The formal Brazilian job market is changing its profile. According to a study conducted by the company LCA 4intelligence, 37.9% of layoffs in January of this year were at the request of the employee. The high rate of voluntary resignations shows that Brazilians have prioritized their personal goals over formal employment and a stable salary.

Global banking executive Pushkar Anand knows all too well what it is like to make this choice.
